I’m pleased to present you with online business niche strategies.
Whether you are employed and want to make some extra money, underemployed and struggling to make ends meet, or even unemployed, why not go into business for yourself?
What’s holding you back, Bubba?
Yea, I’ve heard all the excuses: times are tough, the economy is in the hole, banks aren’t loaning money, a brick and mortar store costs tens of thousands of dollars (or more) just to open the doors. And lots more excuses, too.
But, suppose somebody offered you a store that sells real products.
Products that people want.
A store with lots of products but no inventory to carry, no rent, no overhead, and no employees.
Would you be willing to pay, say, $200 (or less)?
Welcome to the new world: online web marketing.
What’s Online Web Marketing?
Simply put, it’s marketing somebody’s products on the Net and getting paid a commission every time a product is sold. Truth is, it can be shamefully easy---not to mention really cheap---once you understand today’s online business opportunities.
And, for that, I want you to think about Amazon.com.
Ever shopped at that online business? You---or a member of your family---probably have. You’ll find an enormous number of products, many which you won’t find at Walmart or Target, at great prices. From books to plush toys to gourmet food and ipads (and everything in between), delivered directly to your door.
It’s made its founder, Jeff Bezos, a billionaire.
And, with proper application of niche strategies principles, you can build your own online business marketing products offered by Big Box companies (Sears, Apple, IBM, Walmart---and thousands more) or specialty houses.
For less than $200.
Essentially, this is how you’ll do it.
1. Create a niche website ($15 for the domain and about $4-5/month for hosting it).
2. Research product niches with good traffic and reasonable competition (about $120/one time software purchase).
3. Become an affiliate (free) of companies which offer the products you want to market in your niche online business.
4. Put their products onto your niche website.
5. Draw visitors to your niche website.
See the word “niche” over and over again? It’s a critical component of successful online web marketing.
That’s because the web is a very big place. Hundreds of millions of websites and tremendous competition.
For example, suppose you’re interested in marketing ipads. Look at the number of web pages containing the word “ipad.”
You’ll never break into that market. It’s just too big a bite to chew off.
So, why not take a smaller bite?
Niche Strategies: Find a Niche
The world-wide web is built around the words that people use when they search: keywords.
Take advantage of that. Just as you should build every web page around good keywords, you also need to build your niche website around them as well.
Niche Strategies Tip#1
Always build your niche web marketing company around keywords with these qualities:
1. Good traffic
2. Low to moderate number of competing pages
3. Low quality of competition (optional but recommended)
For example, look at the following screenshot from the free Market Samurai’s keyword tool, paying particular attention to the keyword “ipad projector.”
You’ll immediately see that the software program has produced 351 keywords based upon my search criteria (white portion of page).
Along the right side of the graphic you can see (among other things), three columns: “Searches”, “SEOT”, and “SEOC.”
“Searches” represents the total number of times the keyword “ipad projector” is searched every day; i.e. 595.
“SEOT” is the traffic that the web page sitting in the #1 position in Google’s Search Results receives every day; i.e. 250.
“SEOC” is the number of competing pages on Google for the keyword “ipad projector”; i.e., 12,800.
Remember that Google reports that there are over a billion web pages with the keyword “ipad” on them? Compare that to only 12,800 web pages for the keyword “ipad projectors.” The first is impossibly large; the second, a potentially good niche:
a. Good daily searches and traffic
b. Few competing web pages for your niche’s primary keyword: “ipad projectors.”
Niche Strategies Tip #2
Always use the right tools to find potential niches in your online business: either the good Google Adwords Keyword Tool or the far better Market Samurai.
Both offer free keyword research but Market Samurai is head-and-shoulders better than the Google product and 100 times faster.
Think I'm exaggerating? Try both of them (remember, free) and compare for yourself.
Why take the time to look for the best niche?
Because you’re in business.
An online business, to be sure, but business nonetheless.
For every web marketing company that has the chance for success (that’s you if you adopt winning niche strategies) there will be hundreds that don’t make the grade (because they haven’t any idea how to find a niche, much less exploit it).
Can you afford $200 or so to build your own web marketing company?
Can you afford not to?
